Poetry anyalsis of the "Root Cellar"

understructure Cellar         After reading the verse pen by Theodore Roethke, entitle calm down Cellar, I envisioned a dark, scary, ghost narration. The poesy was very understandable to read and on the surface it explains vegetables in a root cellar. The text has a literal meaning of that but the figurative language Roethke intention in his rime painted a very distinct picture and then a plan root cellar. I saw exanimate and living things in the dark. I hope the poetry Root Cellar is about more than dear an underground pantry of vegetables, but instead Roethke is trying to attest a story of a scary place where things were lock away leaving and he was frightened of this place. Voice, language, and imagery in Theodore Roethkes Root Cellar gave the tang of horror and disgust. Roethke explains it is a dark looming place, foul-smelling and old. The poem fill with words such as clammy, dark, and manure. These words have a bearish tone. He detest the pl ace he was speaking of. I believe the poem portraits a place where ghost argon inhabited and Roethke is afraid(p) and wishes to not go in that respect.         The title of the poem is Root Cellar. A root cellar is built on to a farmhouse and is used as natures way of storing fruits and vegetables and anything that needs to propitiate cooled. They can be excellent storage areas for other things as well. Unlike a basement a root cellar is not getatable from the house. You must leave the house to record the root cellar. In this case things can be inexplicable away from commonplace view. Secret things could have been going on down there that few could have ever assemble or deal about.
